Andrea was a studious child and an avid reader. Her passion for writing was evident very early in her life. She wrote weekly detailed and vivid newspaper reports for her local high school. In grade 12, she received an A+ for writing and illustrating this little children’s book. The topic of this work represents not only her love and talent for writing but also her deep desire to help others. After graduating from college, Andrea displayed her compassion through her chosen social work profession. She dedicated her life to helping the youth of our community and, through her gentle and loving approach, encouraged her students to appreciate life. She worked as a teacher supporting the importance of education by strengthening their reading and life skills. On December 20, 2011, a tragic car accident took Andrea from us. Her ability to recognize and develop the best in others has impacted the lives of students, friends, and family who love and respect her. She left behind her two-year-old son Tristan.
